What does the following quote tell you about the city and society in general?
"But you know about genetics, don't you? Sure, I know all about genes. I knew two sisters, uglies, who looked almost the same. But parents and children? That's just weird."
I think this quote is showing that the children that each set of parents has, may not be their own, genetic children. I think they might be giving parents children, so that they can weed out any gene line that isn't superior. They are essentially creating a euphoric society. The societies need for perfection is creating a monster. I think this will come back to bite them in the rear in the end.
Prediction: Being a pretty is...
being brain washed and transformed into a robotic, non-feeling, competely clueless, shell-of-the-person you once were. The worst part of all is that you don't even realize it happened to you because the desire to be a pretty is so much greater.
