- Tally is in the hovercar with the man who told her she had "a problem with the operation". He's driving crazy and she's a little car sick.
- They arrive at these ugly, rectangular dorm looking buildings that are painted a horrible, nauseating color.

- She meets Dr. Cable, an intimidating, fierce woman.
- Dr. Cable explains that the problem with Tally's operation is that she is friends with Shay. Tally thought she was in trouble for the pranks and is confused.
